9th Meeting of the Central European Tectonic Groups - CETEG 2011 was held in Hotel Skalský Dvůr, Lísek in Czech Republic on 13.-17. April 2011. It was organized by Institute of Geophysics, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Prague and Institute of Petrology and Structural Geology, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Charles University in Prague.
 

83 participants (39 Czech, 11 Polish, 15 Slovak, 8 Hungarian and 10 from other countries including Austria, Norway and France) took part. 35 oral contributions and 38 posters were presented and discussed. Four invited speakers (Karel Schulmann, Jean Bernard Edel, Rainer Abart and David Uličný) presented their keynote lectures and held the high standart of scientific program. Two conference excursions were organized. Excursion No. 1 dealt with the “Ductile deformation and rheology of sub-continental mantle in hot collisional orogen: example from the folded Mohelno peridotite body and surrounding felsic granulites and metagabbros”. Excursion No. 2 followed section accross Zábřeh unit and focused on “Unroofing of orogenic infrastructure in Lugian Domain of the Bohemian Massif”.
